What would you do?

Sugar and spice and everything nice.

This is suppose to every little girls life.

What happens when life is not like that?

What if your life is filled with constant abuse by the people who suppose to protect you?

For little Katelynn of Indiana, her life is filled with this from a father, stepmother and father's family; everyone but her the relatives that love her have been deined the ability to see her.

What happens when the police will not stop this?

Than try Child Protection Service, but they will not stop this either.

The next thing to do is go to the court.

What would you do if the Child Protection Services and the court helped the abusers hurt her?

The media might work but they ignore majority of average people.

In this search for help, several politicians ignored or said stop bothering them.

If these people will not help little katelynn than who will?

Will this little girl have to pay the ultimate price for these adults mistakes?

Now, what will you do?

How many times must a child be returned before he dies? What is wrong with our system? How can we change the laws or stop judges from giving the children back to the ones who hurt them?

I really have to recommend that people read about the horrors of Child reunification so that they "get it"... Where's Mario looks like its going to be a great book... just pre-ordered the Personalized Signed edition"... I have a copy of blinders and I higly recommend it.

Any volunteer opportunities to help stop the cause... I could write a grant or help with petitions?

Although my story of being abused as a child is well known, the unfortunate, sad truth is that it is not at all uncommon.

Child Abuse in any form is a Crime. I recently reported a case of Child Abuse to CPS, in return, I received a nice letter stating they had previously looked into it and they blew it off.

In reality, this woman (a survivor herself) was endangering her 2 year old son staying with her abusive husband and father of their child. He hit this child numerous times with objects that left marks, taught him to say “ ‘F’ you” and give the ‘finger’ and call Black people the ‘N’ word. While ‘daddy’ was teaching his son these things, he was cheered on by his parents who were the same way.

The sad truth is, this young mother left the state with her son anyway and stayed with this man, who by the way is going to be a ‘police officer’!

This scenario scares me to death! I spent a lot of time with the young woman trying to help her prosecute her step father and mother for the crimes they committed against her.

She had always asked me…“Why would my mother stay with him and not protect me”?

Now she knows that answer firsthand!

So, what I would like to say on the subject of Child Abuse is this:

• Until we all stand up against it, it will get shrugged off over and over and over again.

• The problem is not just the ‘apathetic’ public, but is also ‘apathetic’ survivors!

• Don’t expect those of us who are out here vocal and causing a stir to carry you, while you sit silently complaining about the way your life was!
Our load is heavy enough!

There are an Estimated 60 million survivors of child molestation in the country with only a small percentage of this number out here speaking out and trying to stop cycles of abuse.
